- Pre-Technical Studies is a learning area that aims at equipping the learners with knowledge and skills in various technical areas. Such areas include engineering, business, information communication technology, welding, electricals, masonry and artisans, among other areas.
- Pre-Technical Studies is an integrated area made up of three components. These components are Business, Computer and Technical studies.
- In this Grade, Business concepts in Pre-Technical studies will entail the study of entrepreneurship, production unit and financial goals.
- The Computer component of Pre-Technical Studies aims at equipping the learners with knowledge and skills about computer concepts, Information communication technology (ICT) tools and computer hardware, among other skills.
- The Technical studies aims at equipping knowledge and skills in areas such as safety in the environment, drawing, materials used in production and tools.
- Pre-Technical Studies will build on knowledge and skills acquired from Science and Technology and other learning areas in Upper Primary.
